Correspondence of Senator George Frisbie Hoar and others concerning the return of William Bradford's manuscript history "Of Plimoth Plantation" from the library of the Bishop of London to Massachusetts in 1897. The bulk of the collection is the correspondence of Worthington C. Ford of the Massachusetts Historical Society in regard to the publication of the history, of which Ford was the editor, by the Society and the Houghton Mifflin Company in 1912. Ford's correspondents include co-editor Arthur Lord, Wilberforce Eames, and Francis Jackson Garrison of Houghton Mifflin.
